Renaissance Man

Craig has led an interesting life. In college he was a professional musician and earned a degree in philosophy. Then he discovered wine. Craig has played almost every role there is to play in the wine business from making wine to growing grapes, and consulting on a range of projects on the Central Coast. Along the way he earned a Master’s degree from Cal Poly SLO and a Ph.D. from Washington State University. He taught briefly at Allan Hancock College and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo before joining Vineyard Team as Technical Program Manager for a time. Now Craig is Critical Resource Manager at Niner Wine Estates where he works on sustainability topics, staff and public education, and is sometimes seen pouring wine in the tasting room. The depth and breadth of his experience makes him the perfect host for our podcast.
