Vineyard Team and Pan American Insurance are hosting winery-focused safety trainings in Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties on Forklift "Train-the-trainer", Ladder Safety, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tag Out. Meetings run from 8:00am - 2:30 pm.

**Note** The Greenfield meeting will be held in English ONLY, the Spanish meeting has been cancelled.

The SLO meeting will be held concurrently in both English and Spanish. Space is limited.

Forklift Train-the-Trainer

Forklifts are involved in more industrial accidents than any other single type of equipment. You will learn CAL/OSHA Powered Industrial Truck standard and receive specific guidance on how to certify your employees. Learn how to deliver quality training that meets CAL/OSHA guidelines.

Ladder Safety Basics

This topic covers CLIMB: Choose the right ladder; Look for missing or damaged parts; Insure a safe ladder setup; Move safely while climbing and transporting a ladder; Be a ladder safety expert.

12:15 pm - 2:15 pm | Confined Space & Lockout/Tag Out

Confined Space

Limited entrance and exit + hazardous atmosphere = "Confined Space" in Agriculture. The goal of this course is to increase awareness of: how to identify confined space; how to evaluate hazards; confined space program requirements; and resources available for program assistance.

Lockout/Tag Out

If your work involves activities with equipment and machinery such as setup, un-jamming, repairs, cleaning, servicing, and adjusting, this training is for you. Energy feeding into the machinery and equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) gives them power to run and do work. Uncontrolled energy causing the sudden and unexpected movement of a machine or any part of a machine can injure or kill you.
