California Wine Month Tour (Consumer)

Join us for the annual San Luis Obispo County Wine Community Tour Friday, August 27, 2010 in Paso Robles as we celebrate the California Wine Industry and kick off California Wine Month.  Transportation between stops is provided.

Itinerary:

8:30 a.m. Registration and Continental Breakfast – Castoro Cellars, 1315 North Bethel Road

9:30 a.m. Arrive at Hammond-Crossland Vineyard – Vineyard tour highlighting water conservation.  Speakers: Steve Vierra, certified soil scientist, Lowell Zelinski Ph.D., plant physiologist and soil-plant-water relations specialist and Mark Battany, UCCE Viticulture/Soils Farm Advisor

11 a.m. Arrive at Hope Family Wines – Presentation and discussion followed by winery tour highlighting water conservation.  Speakers: J.C. Diefenderfer, director of winemaking and Creighton MacDonald, director of production and facilities.

1 p.m. Lunch at Castoro Cellars
