It’s that time of year for the Fourth Annual Outreach Legislative Tour! This year’s tour titled: The Stewardship of Water will be a day highlighting the stakeholders of the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin Blue Ribbon Steering Committee. The fourth annual tour is shaping up to be another successful opportunity bringing together political leaders, governmental officials, agency staff, community leaders, and public figures to spend a day in the field!
The day will begin at 8:00am at Robert Hall Winery for registration and refreshments.The Blue Ribbon Committee will officially open their meeting at 8:30am with introductions. The County will begin the day with an overview of the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin history and infrastructure. The tour will include site visits to: the City of Atascadero’s Wastewater Treatment Plant; Templeton’s Nacimiento Percolation Ponds; and the City of Paso Robles Water Recycling Demonstration Garden. Martin Querin P.E., from the City of Fresno Public Utilities Department will be the Keynote Speaker during lunch. Martin is a dynamic speaker and advocate for tackling difficult water solutions in the 21st Century.
This meeting is sponsored by the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, Central Coast Vineyard Team, and California Sustainable Winegrowers Alliance and is free of charge. Transportation and Lunch is provided. Reservations are required and open to the first 65 registrants on a first come, first serve basis.
