In the face of significant barriers like being an undocumented student without DACA and enduring the loss of her home to a fire, Rosa has shown remarkable academic and community successes.
Her proficiency in Spanish studies has been formally recognized with the Seal of Biliteracy by the California Department of Education, which commends students for their high-level skills in languages besides English. She uses her skill to act as a translator between teachers and new students who are facing language barriers.
Rosa is deeply committed to her passions and is determined to excel. She has been dancing with the Paso Robles Youth Arts Center for over a decade, participating in several specialized classes She also channels this passion into her community involvement, participating in community service projects and being an active part of MECHA, a club that promotes unity and empowerment.
